Starting Beetroot Consulting has been the most exciting challenge of my career. Building a business that blends bold, people-focused change with technology has allowed me to disrupt traditional models, centre equity and inclusion, and empower organisations to navigate complexity with confidence. It’s a constantly evolving, purpose-driven journey.

What inspired me into digital and tech...

I fell into tech when I left a job, and a mate suggested I manage developers because 'it’s the best job.' I never looked back. I found a space where problem-solving, transformation, and innovation came together, and it felt like home. Tech became the perfect place to drive real change.

My educational background is...

I got into tech through transformational change, not the traditional route. With a background in risk, resilience, and human sciences, I worked on complex organisational challenges and saw technology as a powerful tool for change. My focus has always been on aligning tech with strategy, building capability, and driving impact.

What advice I'd give to girls thinking about a career in digital and tech...

To girls wanting to get into tech: there’s space for you here. You don’t need to follow a traditional path....tech thrives on different perspectives. It’s about solving problems, driving change, and shaping what’s next.
