Educators

We want to inspire more girls at School and College to think about a career in the technology sector. To encourage this we work with educators to provide them with the resources and opportunities to develop girls’ enthusiasm in the sector and to develop themselves in the subjects that will develop their skills for their future careers.

Our opportunities

Industry Insight visits and experience days

Visit Technology business offices around Greater Manchester where students will undertake a talk from the inspiring female employees as well as a tour of the office to see what it’s like to work in a tech business. The students will also undertake an activity to emulate the type of tasks someone working in technology may face in their day to day job.

Vital learning opportunities for students to connect with and learn from industry experts through inspiring visits to digital and technology businesses and meaningful encounters with employers. Students will learn more about the digital and technology sector in Greater Manchester, local job opportunities, skills, education routes, pathways and take part in engaging activities and workshops.

Workshops

Both virtual and face to face delivery available for our Digital Her workshops. Delivered by our industry partners, workshops will run for around 2 hours and include an interactive activity or project for the students to participate in. Along with a talk from the business about the types of jobs available and the opportunity to hear from some of their women in tech to provide relatable conversations for the students.

Work experience

Opportunity for students to participate in work experience through our Digital Her partners, giving students the opportunity to see how a tech business operates and some of the amazing career opportunities that are available. Please note these opportunities are very limited and we cannot guarantee to fulfil all requests.
