The most interesting thing I've worked on in my career so far...

I'm a recent career switcher so working in tech is still very new to me, but national security is a fascinating area - it's great to know that everything you work on is really important and worthwhile, and is helping to keep us all safe.

What inspired me into digital and tech...

I've always been very logical and practical, so when I was looking for a new career after some years away from the workplace, tech seemed a good industry to focus on. I got such a buzz when I managed to write my own website from scratch, I knew I would find it a rewarding career choice.

My educational background is...

I studied maths at university before becoming a solicitor. After a career break due to chronic illness, I was looking for a new challenge so I started to teach myself how to code. I completed a coding bootcamp at School of Code and landed my first job shortly afterwards.

What advice I'd give to girls thinking about a career in digital and tech...

If you love solving puzzles and relish a challenge, then you could go far in a tech career. It's an interesting and rewarding field, with not enough people to fill all the roles available. Many jobs don't require a technical background, and there are lots of ways to learn the skills you do need.
