Working in the supervision team in online safety at Ofcom is really interesting - it is the first time the supervised services have been required to have measures to protect their users from online harm. Building meaningful and collaborative relationships with these services is especially important to achieve safety online.

What inspired me into digital and tech...

The online world is an amazing place but it can also be very scary. Digital technology touches almost every part of our lives and I am super interested in making it a safe space for everyone, but especially for children who grow up with access from a very young age.

My educational background is...

I studied Law at University with plans to qualify as a solicitor but quickly realised that the legal world wasn't for me. I then spent around 8 years working as an investigator for various organisations before joining Ofcom.

What advice I'd give to girls thinking about a career in digital and tech...

Don't be afraid to jump in! There are so many wonderful opportunities available and you don't have to come from a tech background to start working in the space. It's an ever-evolving world which craves diversity.
