Technical Skills / Proficiency in IT systems, networks, and software is crucial for analysing and maintaining company IT infrastructure. This includes knowledge of cybersecurity, applications, networks, business continuity and disaster recovery

Attention to Detail / During an audit, I carefully examine system logs, data sets, and configurations to detect any unusual activity that might signal a control weakness. This thorough review helps identify even the smallest signs of compromise!

Analytical Thinking / This involves problem-solving, data analysis, critical evaluation, and decision-making. I use these skills to identify issues, analyse data for patterns, assess IT controls, and make informed recommendations for improvements.

Communication Skills / The most important skill! This involves explaining technical findings clearly, actively listening to client concerns, providing regular updates, writing detailed reports, and resolving conflicts. These skills help build strong, trusting relationships with clients, ensuring effective collaboration and successful audits.

Business Acumen/ Understanding of business operations to recommend IT improvements that align with the company's strategic goals

The most interesting aspect of my work has been collaborating across diverse sectors and engaging with passionate individuals committed to making a difference. I've played a key role in implementing innovative applications and robust security processes, ensuring these changes align with core values, enhance security and support business's goals.

What inspired me into digital and tech...

I never imagined I'd end up in this industry! My passion for helping others and curiosity about how things work, along with a drive to solve complex problems, brought me here. As an ethnic woman, I've faced unique challenges, which have fuelled my determination to succeed and contribute meaningfully.

My educational background is...

I completed A Levels in Biology, Chemistry, English Literature, and Psychology before earning a BSc in Computer Science. Since then, I've obtained several certifications, including: Cyber Threat Management Strategic Cybersecurity Management Healthcare Digitisation and Automation AI Security and Governance Privacy Ops Certified Master SOC 2 Implementer ITIL4 Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management Advanced Data Analytics Professional Certification And I still have a few more on my list to achieve!
