Whilst at Sky I worked on internal dashboards for the Monitoring Solutions team. I moved onto the BMJ during the pandemic, which lead me to developing software for medical partitioners. I feel into consulting and have been working within the public sector ever since.

I was very lucky, from a young age I was given a space to explore the Internet and tech, and harness my skills within HTML and CSS. I started looking up page sources on websites to reverse engineer them very early on and this lead me to learning HTML/CSS.

I was a hobbyist web dev during my teens; my dad bought me my first domain at 13. I went on to study Computer Science at QMUL. After graduating I was slightly confused as to which path I wanted to take with the tech space, so I did a short course with Udacity which was funded by Google on Web Development.
What advice I'd give to girls thinking about a career in digital and tech...
There is a plethora of information out there, use it to your advantage. Don't be scared about reaching out to others you find inspiring with the industry, particularly women - we've all been there and know how daunting it can be. Above all, be curious and willing to always persevere.
