Definitely the projects I’ve worked on at BAE that are Cyber Security related. Being from a retail background these projects have exposed me to new types of technology and areas I had no idea existed and in a new age of cyber threats it’s something that is an area that is ever growing.

I studied Business Systems at university with no interest in a technical career. However in my third year, I chose an IT role. This was my first time exposed to technical projects and I realised my degree was providing me with the correct skills and knowledge to pursue a career.

Keep an open mind, consider what is important to you, and what skills you have naturally. Don’t worry about being a certain type of person or having a specific background because digital and tech is a continuously evolving area that has all types of job roles.
