The most interesting thing I've worked on in my career so far...

Coming from an agency background means I've worked on a huge range of different projects, from Train Signalling Design platforms to Peace-Keeping AI ventures, I find a lot of sectors truly fascinating and enjoyable to work on, but people management / development is my real passion.

What inspired me into digital and tech...

I did a degree in photography and in our final year we had to build a portfolio website and I fell in love with coding. The industry fascinated me and I was driven by varied it is and how much I would be able to get back from it

My educational background is...

I'm a self-taught frontend developer who has been working in the industry since 2013. I've been mainly agency focused, working on a wide range of projects / sectors. I moved from developer to Engineering Manager in 2020, then to Head of Engineering in 2021 and have continued in the role since.

What advice I'd give to girls thinking about a career in digital and tech...

Truthfully I would just encourage them to have a go. It can be a very daunting industry to get into as a woman but once you get into it, it's so rewarding and is also a great option for women as a career with the flexibility it allows
