The most interesting thing I've worked on in my career so far...

Prior to my current role I designed a reporting application that managed, executed and delivered asset management reports for one of the top asset management firms in the UK. I learnt a ton about design methodology and scrum management. We were able to design to deliver the first reports in less than 6 months, which is fairly unheard of in financial services industry.

What inspired me into digital and tech...

I enjoyed the endless possibilities of technology. I am sure in my career I will work on more large scale digital transformation projects for all sorts of industries.

My educational background is...

I studied Mechanical Engineering in Canada with a specialisation in Welding, although after graduating I had my first role as a Management Trainnee it was invaluable for teaching me problem solving. I am now completing my MBA at the University of Manchester.

What advice I'd give to girls thinking about a career in digital and tech...

There are so many skills required in technology field, you don't need to be good at maths or science, but soft skills and creativity are really whats needed to tackle some of the world's challenges. If you are good at maths and science even better but don't feel like that you must be good at x thing to get into the industry, we need more women to design a digital future.
