The most interesting thing I've worked on in my career so far...

Helped to build software crucial to the operation of airports around the world.

What inspired me into digital and tech...

I love coding, it's the only thing I'll happily sit at a desk and stare at a screen all day for. I am never bored and constantly challenged and learning. The software industry is growing so quickly, there are endless opportunities to find work that you love. The work ethos and the people are brilliant.

My educational background is...

For most of my life I wanted to be a musician but ended up studying Physics at the University of Manchester (I fancied a challenge!) where I discovered computer programming. After graduating, I spent some time being a musician and then decided I wanted another technical challenge! And here I am.

What advice I'd give to girls thinking about a career in digital and tech...

Give it a go! You'll be rubbish at the beginning and that is okay, everybody starts somewhere. It may seem like an impossible job but all it takes is a curious mind, enthusiasm and determination. Do not be afraid to ask questions.
