The most interesting thing I've worked on in my career so far...
I recently worked on implementing the ability to insert placeholders from the platforms we integrate with into event descriptions on our platform. This involved navigating those integrators APIs, managing race conditions and thinking of different ways to present these values to the customers.
What inspired me into digital and tech...
At first it was purely accidental but my love for investigating and troubleshooting technical issues kept me pursuing it. Also realising that you will never know everything so you will always keep learning something new.
My educational background is...
I studied Spanish and Mandarin at The University of Manchester. My first job out of university was as part of a Product Team supporting customers to manage their corporate Hotel bookings. From there I landed in a Technical Support role in a tech startup and progressed my career by getting more technical from there as I realised I enjoyed technical troubleshooting.
What advice I'd give to girls thinking about a career in digital and tech...
Don't feel like you're boxed into a career path due to your previous experience or education choices. There are many ways into the tech industry, for me that was technical support and then looking for companies that would support development. And just keep trying to learn new things!
