Role modelling what good looks like

The most interesting thing I've worked on in my career so far...

I'm hard pressed to pick a single thing but some highlights have been working with the contact centre on Grand National day when the atmosphere was electric and being flown to New York for a Women in Leadership training programme which connected me to the most amazing network of women in the Booking.com family.

What inspired me into digital and tech...

When I was in the girl guides my leader LOVED her job. Nobody I knew that had a job talked nicely about work. I wanted to do something that I would be passionate about and love so I called Manchester University aged 15 and asked what A levels they would recommend for the course I fancied doing. It really went from there.

My educational background is...

A sandwich year at university confirmed to me that IT was the area for me so I started as a project manager and accidentally found business analysis which I was made for, and had been doing to fill a gap in a project I was working on. When I first heard about agile I was intrigued and went to learn more in my own time - something I continue to do 12 years later

What advice I'd give to girls thinking about a career in digital and tech...

Digital and tech is fast paced and very varied. The roles within tech are so varied and ,nowadays where a career is more like navigating a jungle gym than going up a ladder, tech offers loads of different opportunities. I've changed my career direction majorly three times so far and I don't think I'm done changing yet. Technology gives me the freedom to do this and it will give you the same freedoms too
