What inspired me into digital and tech...
My dad inspired me to pursue tech, he always made sure that my sisters and I were up-to-date with the most recent technologies and he urged us to question how things worked. When I was 11, my dad would give me old computers to take apart and it was fun!
My educational background is...
I studied a BSc in Physics from the University of Warwick, and I have now started a PhD in Mathematics/Mathematical Physics at the University of Bristol. I am fascinated by Information Theory, the theoretical basis for how computers work, and Random Matrix Theory, which seemingly models deep learning.
What advice I'd give to girls thinking about a career in digital and tech...
Tech is such a stimulating industry, it is exciting to be a part of it. Over the pandemic, we began to comprehend just how reliant the world is on technology. Understanding technology means understanding how the world works, and that's a pivotal step in changing it for the better.
