I help my team understand what we want to achieve and how we're going to get there. I work with software engineers, testers, designers and a product manager to break down requirements from the wider business into work tasks. This means lots of problem solving and creative thinking, and lots of asking questions and talking to people and getting everyone to work together.
Before this role I was a Senior Digital Producer and I got to work on a game for The Worst Witch which was really exciting as it was a childhood favourite book. The book's author, Jill Murphy, drew me a picture!
At university I studied Fine Art specialising in digital art which taught me about creative thinking and problem solving which is a big part of my job. Since then I've learnt 'on the job' and from the great people I work with.
My mum encouraged me to use computers from a young age, so computers became another way to make things alongside painting and drawing. I enjoy learning new things so the fact that new tech is always being developed is keeps things interesting.
Don't imagine 'digital and tech' is just science or maths, there's loads of different careers needing all kinds of skills and it changes all the time which is really exciting. I've worked on projects that wouldn't have existed when I first started my career!
