WHAT DO YOU DO?

I work within a multi-discipline product team consisting of developers, designers, QA testers and delivery, and I'm responsible for managing the workflow for our clients. We work collaboratively to decide where budgets are best spent in order for our clients to get maximum return on investment.

WHAT SKILLS DO YOU USE MOST IN YOUR JOB?
  • I often act as a bridge between the team and the client
WHAT'S THE MOST INTERESTING THING YOU'VE WORKED ON IN YOUR CAREER SO FAR?

Moving a client website from two adaptive platforms to one responsive platform. It was a mammoth undertaking but paid off hugely from both a technical and commercial perspective.

WHAT'S YOUR EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND?

I studied English Literature, Law and History at A Level before completing a degree at Manchester Met in PR & Digital Communications. I also undertook a sandwich year allowing me to go and work in industry for 12 months.

WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO GO INTO DIGITAL & TECH?

It became clear during my degree that the digital community was growing quickly, and it was going to be an area of future opportunity for me. Plus, I enjoyed the tech aspects of my course!

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO GIRLS THINKING ABOUT A CAREER IN DIGITAL AND TECH?

Don't be put off from venturing into the industry because you're not a designer or developer; teams need a wide variety of skills and personalities. Content producers, account managers, project managers, testers, finance managers - the community is huge and the opportunities are endless.
