I aim to deliver the best possible experience for the users of our website, to make it as straightforward to use as possible. As well as researching user behaviour and preference, I also research the content of the website and consider design elements such as colours, text and images.
The most interesting thing I've worked on was a research project for a very large car manufacturer. We ran a user research session in our offices where we got users to test their website. It was interesting to test another site as I'm so used to looking at Auto Trader and the way we design.
My background is mainly business and I joined Auto Trader as a Graduate in Business Management in the Customer Experience Team. I quickly developed a passion for customer and user experience which lead to the role I'm in today. I am currently learning a lot virtually through the Interaction Design Foundation as well as spending time with the Designers.
When I finished University, I knew I wanted to join a digital, forward thinking business which is how I ended up at Auto Trader. Over time I found a passion in user experience and research and knew my analytical and systematic approach to work would fit well in this area.
It really is so much fun. You learn so much everyday and there's always new challenges to tackle and new projects to be involved in because the digital world moves so quickly.
