Digital Her’s Curiosity Camp is an immersive and engaging week for girls aged 13-15 from schools in Greater Manchester.
It will take place on 3rd – 7th August 2020.
Attendees will spend the week with a range of technology businesses , being mentored by role models from industry and finding out just what is possible in their digital future.
Our Digital Hers will be supported in a different workshop every day designed and delivered by businesses. Not only will they learn about the HERstory in technology and the role women did and ae playing, they will be challenged to be curious and explore digital skills, developing technical, problem-solving, and innovation skills as well as vital skills for life; including teamwork, collaboration, confidence, problem solving and presentation skills.
The week will end with an industry experience day, where the girls will visit the businesses they have been working with during the week as well as receiving a goody bag of Digital Her swag and some special future technologist awards.
Lunch will be provided all week for attendees. And it will take place at a venue within the Manchester Metropolitan University Campus, with thanks to our hosts for the week and supporters, the Institute of Coding.
Applications are now open. Applicants will be notified of their place at the Curiosity Camp by at least the end of June.
